We have been tracing our family histories for several years.  In the 1970s, Robert inherited some documents (mostly letters) from the American Civil War era.  His family had kept no additional genealogical information, however.  In 1991, when clearing out his mother's apartment, we discovered a Malseed family Bible from 1877.  It provided the link between the Civil War documents and Robert's father.  Linda, on the other hand, has received much prepared family history information.

Since 1994 we have spent some time each year doing family history research at the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City.  Robert has uncovered much previously unknown information.  Linda has taken the data she already had, and has spent time adding to it, verifying some of it, and disproving some of it.

We have also visited the Maryland State Archives, the library of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Albuquerque Public Library's Genealogy collection.

Each of us has British Isles ancestry on our father's side and German ancestry on our mother's side.

Robert's parents are George Clement Evans Malseed jr.  and Rose Martha Anna Louise Sichard.

Linda's parents are Wendell Ross Baxter and Francis Beatrice Kliewer.
